BBC Radio 1’s Future Festival.
An evening of Live Music held at BBC Studio’s Madia Vale and MarkMeets were invited to check it out. Our two favourite BBC DJ’s Annie Mac and Huw Stephens introduce us to a new generation of Music! The Future is Bright, The Future is Music.
Music Lovers were presented to a gifted line-up of award winning artists and newcomers.
Artists, included: Billie Marten, Loyle Carner, Mura Masa, NAO, Pretty Vicious, Rationale, Section Boyz, and VANT.
Everyone moved between two studio’s were musicians would play their set. Artists scaled from a blend of different genres, including: Pop, Rock, Rap, RnB and Garage! In each studio music enthusiasts were pumped with energy, singing with artists to their songs and with a drink in the odd person’s hand, I can assure you everyone was having an extremely great time!
The great thing about BBC’s Radio 1 Future Festival is that it supports artists by allowing their talent to by recognised. Zane Lowe from 2015’s Future Festival had this to say: “The Future Festival line-up is another diverse and exciting reflection of the year to come in new music. Whether you’re listening at home, or at Maida Vale watching it all happen – it’s going to be an amazing night of live music.”
Previous breakthrough artists on the line–up have incuded: Sam Smith, Royal Blood, George Ezra, and many more.
After a tremendous array of artists performing here at the Future Festival 2016 night, I have to say, I’m looking forward to seeing who come’s next year. Having came to this years festival, I appreciate that every new generation of musicians bring new lyrics, new formations of tunes, soon a new genre will come!
