When I was growing up, the role of education was frequently diminished to that of a path to a career. Based on this presumption, many of us had the belief that we would forgo schooling if our fortunes changed to include wealth or fame.

The several pages listing super successful persons who dropped out of school or never went to college served to fuel our misinformed arguments. Over time, the knowledge of famous people who went to college despite their fame challenged our perspective and led to a perspective on education as a tool for self-improvement rather than just a means to an end.

Leah Remini

One of the prominent celebrities pursuing their education in 2023 is the American actress and activist who co-starred with Halle Berry in The King of Queens, Kevin can wait, and living dolls.

At the tender age of 14, the famous producer quit school to begin her career as an actress.

Since then, Remini has enjoyed a successful career, taking home the award for best hosted non-fiction series or special at the 72nd Primetime Emmys.

Although she quit school at a tender age, the well-liked host of the daytime talk show (2010–2011) was admitted to New York University in May 2021 to pursue an associate degree in liberal arts.

Ashley Judd

Popular American actress Ashley Judd has been active in politics and humanitarian causes for the better part of her three-decade career. The actress, who has appeared in films such as Ruby in Paradise (1993), A Dog’s Way Home (2019), and Divergent (2014), earned a BA from the University of Kentucky.

Ashley is one of the few people in Hollywood who is now pursuing a Ph.D. in public policy at Northern California University.

Millie Bobby Brown

Millie Bobby Brown is most well-known for her role in Stranger Things, a Netflix sci-fi drama series. As proof of her acting prowess, Millie’s involvement in the show even got her nominations for two Primetime Emmy awards. She also serves as the UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2017, the British actress and producer received an Emmy for outstanding ensemble performance in a drama series. Millie is currently enrolled in an online health and human services program at Purdue University.

Amanda Bynes

Amanda Bynes is an American actress best known for her roles in the Amanda show (1999-2002) and Easy A (1999-2002). (2010). For her part in the film Easy A, the well-known performer was nominated for an MTV movie award for the best sentence from a movie.

Perhaps to further pursue her desire to open an online clothing company, Amanda Bynes is currently getting a bachelor’s degree in fashion.

Yara Shahidi

The American actress and model Yara Shahidi rose to popularity as the eldest daughter, Zoey, on the hit sitcoms Black-ish and Grown-ish. Despite being thrown into the public eye at a young age, Yara has advanced significantly in her acting career.

Shahidi is now pursuing a double degree in sociology and African American studies at Harvard University.
