Britney Spears beat off big competition from Katy Perry, ex Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato and Bruno Mars to scoop the award for Favourite Pop Artist at Wednesday night’s People’s Choice Awards

Brit could have also nabbed the award for best dressed as she was looking totally scrummy in a figure-hugging Mikael D nude and sparkly silver dress, nude Giuseppe Zanotti heels, a Kotur bag and Broken English jewellery.

The pop singer, who recently kicked off her two-year Las Vegas residency, sat with her new hunky man David Lucado who looked handsome in a smart black suit.

“This is awesome, I was not expecting this,” she said as she took to the stage to collect her coveted award.

“It’s because of all of you that I’m able to do what I love to do.”

Katy Perry and Demi Lovato picked up two awards each, but it was brunette actress Sandra Bullock and sexy crooner Justin Timberlake that really deserve a big old pat on their famous backs.

JT thanked his parents “for continuing to instill in me that no dream is too big,” as he took the award for 2013’s top-selling album for The 20/20 experience.

The 32-year-old also nabbed the awards for Favourite Male Artist and Favourite R&B Artist.

Justin, who made his musical comeback last year, also thanked his “beautiful wife,” Jessica Biel, “for teaching me patience and the little things like just putting the dishes in the dishwasher.

“It goes a long way. Fellas, you’re welcome,” he said.

Gravity leads BAFTA nominations

Meanwhile, 49-year-old Hollywood actress Sandra, who looked radiant in a fluttery green, white and blue dress was named Favourite Movie Actress for Gravity, Comedic Actress, Dramatic Actress, and also shared the Favourite Movie

“I learned so much this year. I got to work with Melissa McCarthy on The Heat.

“And on Gravity, the nicest people in the world would string me up and leave me there, and I still had an amazing time.”
