Celebrity couples in long-term relationships celebrated from Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman and more

Pierce Brosnan recently celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary with his wife, Keely Shaye Smith.

The Irish actor posted a sweet message to the former journalist on Instagram, along with photos of the couple on the red carpet.

“Happy anniversary, my darling Keely, my love grows with you forever…,” the former James Bond star captioned the Instagram post.

The couple met in a Mexican bar in 1994 and married in Ireland’s Ballintubber Abbey in 2001, surrounded by close friends and family.

They have two sons, Dylan, 24, and Paris, 20.

It’s Smith the actor credits for helping him come to terms with the loss of his first wife, Cassandra Harris, who passed away in 1991 following a four-year battle with cancer. She was 43.Brosnan and Harris shared a daughter, Charlotte, who sadly also died from the same illness that claimed Harris. Charlotte was just 41.

Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks: Married since 1988

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson first met on the set of Bosom Buddies in 1980, but didn’t start dating until five years later when they both starred in Volunteers.

In an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show in 2020, Wilson explained why she fell in love with Hanks.

“First of all, I love a good storyteller,” she said. “So anybody who could tell a good story, I’m down with that… He makes me laugh all the time. He’s a great storyteller.”

The couple got married in 1988, and are still going strong.

Hanks and Wilson have two sons: Chet born in 1990, and Truman born in 1995.

Wilson is also stepmum to Colin, 41, and Elizabeth, 37 — Hanks’ kids from his 1978 marriage to Samantha Lewes.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman: Together since 2005

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman married in 2006 after meeting in early 2005 — even though it apparently took Urban four months to contact her after they met.

Kidman says that even though they’re often apart for work, Urban makes her feel loved. “For every single night [Keith is] away, he leaves me a love letter. Every single night of our relationship,” she shared.

“Nicole is my best friend. I’ve never had anybody on the planet that knows me as well as she does,” Urban said of his wife. “I literally just feel like the luckiest guy on the planet.”

They went on to have two kids: daughter Sunday Rose in 2008, and Faith Margaret in 2010.

Kidman also shares daughter Isabella and son Connor with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
