Cody Walker has named his newborn son after his late brother Paul Walker

Cody Walker has honoured his late brother Paul Walker in the most touching way.

The Fast & Furious star tragically died in a 2013 car crash when he was only 40 years old.

But now as Cody welcomes his third child with his wife Felicia, the star’s name will love on in his nephew, named Paul Barrett, or ‘Bear’, after the actor.

Born on Sunday April 30, little Paul was born and 24 hours later the parents decided on his name.

The pair were already parents to a five-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son, before welcoming Paul.

‘This November will mark 10 years since we lost my brother, Paul, and I just felt now was the appropriate time,’ said Cody said.

‘My brother, Caleb, and I are both done having children. My brother, Paul, was Paul William Walker IV and that name goes back four generations,’” says Cody’ he added..

‘Within the family, he went by ‘little Paul’ or ‘Paul 4,’ even though he quickly outgrew our father in height. It was important to me to have that name carry on.’

Meanwhile, Walker’s only daughter, Meadow Rain Walker, 24, is going to be following in the footsteps of her late dad and will be appearing in a cameo role in the Fast and Furious sequel, Fast X.

Vin Diesel shared his pride over the move, and told E! News: ‘I am proud of the fact that she so beautifully wants to honor her father.’

He continued: ‘As a father we hope that our children will want to honor us in that way.’

‘I think he’s smiling,’ he said of what Paul may have thought of the situation.

‘I think he’s smiling at her performance. I think he’s smiling at not only her performance, but at the fact that what him and I dreamed of – which was taking a saga to a 10th chapter – and to feel this love, the cherry on top is the fact that his daughter [has] a cameo.’
