Elton joins Ed Sheeran at Wembley show

Chart topping vocalist Ed Sheeran brought some star power as he commenced his first Wembley Stadium show, joined by Sir Elton John.

Sir Elton, who has worked with Ed at the Grammy Awards, was an special guest on the premiere night of the more youthful star’s cap trap of gigs at the venue.

The pair duetted on Sir Elton‘s Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, with Elton playing the piano.

“When I requested that Elton hit a melody, he said we ought to play one of mine yet I said we ought to play one of his rather,” Sheeran said.

The Thinking Out Loud vocalist is the first craftsman to perform at the stadium without the backup of a band as he plays three sold-out gigs this weekend.

The shows correspond with his arrival to top spot in the new Friday outlines with his second collection x for the fourth time.

The 24-year-old Brit champ guaranteed to keep the 90,000-solid group entertained, saying: “I’m going to divert you for the following two hours.

“We will all lose our voices. The entire ethos of gigs is, the length of it doesn’t hurt anybody, you can do anything you need.”

Outfitted with just a guitar and a circle station, Sheeran performed tunes from his first collection + and its catch up x, the greatest offering and speediest offering collection of 2014, including number one hit Thinking Out Loud, and also Don’t, Lego House, The A Team and I See Fire – which highlighted on the soundtrack of The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug.

Sheeran will likewise play Wembley stadium this evening and Sunday.
