Michelle Keegan has revealed that ‘Mark’s the one that matters’ when it comes to body confidence.

The former Coronation Street star has got one of the most talked about bodies in Britain, having been voted soapland’s Sexiest Female for six years in a row.

She said: “Since I’ve been with Mark, I’ve been more confident simply because I’m happy. It’s a chain reaction. If you’re happy you feel it and look it. It starts on the inside.

“He compliments me a lot and I’ve never really had that before. Even when I don’t feel it, it’s still nice to hear because I’m not trying to impress anyone else; Mark’s the one that matters.”

Since meeting Mark, Michelle no longer lets criticism of her appearance get her down.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan she explained: “I used to get annoyed reading comments saying I’ve got fake teeth. I was bullied about my teeth at school and wore braces for five years to get them straight.

“It’s the same when people say I’m ‘too orange’. This is my natural skin; I don’t wear fake tan. I can’t help it: I have Spanish heritage.

But despite being, well, stunning, Michelle admitted she has had her own body insecurities in the past.

“I’ve never really worn anything too boob-y. I’ve always had big boobs and, when I was younger, Mum would say ‘Don’t be shy, embrace it’.”

And Michelle added: “Maybe people assume I’ve got loads of confidence because I’m on TV but, like any girl, I have good and bad days…

“When I go to a busy place on holiday I don’t usually walk around in a bikini. There are parts of my body I don’t really like and parts I don’t mind. I’d love to be one of those girls who is really body-confident but I’m not.”

“Things like that used to wind me up and I’d think, ‘How can people be so nasty?’ But since being with Mark, I don’t care what anyone thinks. I just brush it off, I’ve got better things to do… or a Domino’s pizza to order!”
