One Direction star Niall Horan has admitted on twitter to “freaking out” after he got stuck in a lift this week.

The Irish hitmaker was in Milan with his bandmates promoting their new album when the elevator he was travelling in got stuck between floors.

Niall tweeted about the incident: “Needed a few minutes to myself ! 8 of us got stuck in a tiny lift ! Well I was freakin out! My heart is still thumping now!”

And it would seem the advice given to him by his fellows in the ‘tiny lift’ did nothing to help ease his worries, if his follow-up tweet was anything to go by.

“That wasn’t fun! Claustrophobia is a terrible thing! and people tellin ya t calm down is worse hahha,” he later added.

Rather than fearing enclosed spaces, however, Niall should perhaps be more worried about venturing outside if the frenzied reaction of the Italian Directioneers who gathered in the streets was anything to go by.
