Rita Ora and Calvin Harris confirm split

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris took has announced that he and the ‘RIP’ hitmaker Rita Ora called time on their relationship ”some time ago”.

He tweeted: ”To address speculation – myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best. (sic).”

Rita, 23, is yet to comment on her relationship status.

Speculation that the couple, who began dating in May 2013, had gone their separate ways began to swirl recently when Rita was spotted partying with Justin Bieber, 20, and Calvin, 30, was seen leaving a club with a mystery woman.

The former pair are yet to reveal the reason behind their break up, but the ‘Shine Your Light’ singer recently admitted that her long distance relationship with Calvin – who has a Las Vegas residency – was a struggle.

She said previously: ”Long-distance relationships aren’t ideal. They’re really hard and there are times when you feel as if you’re on your own. I think if you really want to make it work, you will. It will just require a lot of patience and a lot of trust. It kind of sucks but sometimes you just have to take the situation for what it is.”
