Eva Green has explained the reason her Sin City: A Dame to Kill For character wears such revealing clothes.

The 34-year-old stars in the upcoming movie as Ava Lord, who manipulates men with her good looks and innocent facade for her own personal gain or amusement. Part of capturing Frank Miller’s comic book character accurately was the costume, and Eva embraced revealing her feminine curves.

“Yes, today I’m a little see-through, so I’m really glad you’re visiting,” she laughed to Empire magazine when they visited the set of the feature. “But there’s a reason for it. Ava uses her assets as a weapon. To one man she’s a sexy kitten; to another she’s a goddess. She can be a fragile little girl and then – whoosh! – she’s a hard b***h. All women have many facets, but for her it’s almost like a disease. She’s a bit mad!”

Eva is no stranger to putting herself in the spotlight, having dabbled with modelling alongside her acting career. The second Sin City film won’t be the first action movie the French actress has starred in: she also appeared in 300: Rise of an Empire.

Eva previously recalled her strict workout regime to get into shape for the fantasy war film.

“The trainer took pictures before and after. It was amazing. I had bingo wings before,” she told a previous issue of The Edit. “It makes you more confident. When you stop [working out] after shooting, it’s hard not to have somebody kicking your ass every day. You want it. It’s like being an animal. I kind of love it.”
