Lindsay Lohan: Designing is dream come true

Actress Lindsay Lohan says her ‘Lavish Alice’ line had to represent her style completely.

She’s fought off her demons and now Lindsay Lohan is living the dream thanks to her fashion collaboration.

The 28-year-old actress has previously dipped her toe into the design arena with her 6126 clothing range and stint as artistic advisor at Emanuel Ungaro.

This time around she’s teamed up with UK brand Lavish Alice on a capsule collection, which hit stores this week.

“There’s lots of tailoring and short hemlines – my signature style,” she told British magazine Heat. “It was important for me to try everything on to make sure it fully represented my own style. I loved the process – it’s every girl’s dream to design a clothing range.”

Among the items on offer is a cream trousers and top combo, comprising of flares and a structured top with a waterfall back. There is also a dangerously short minidress which is one of Lindsay’s favourites as it lets her show off her legs, and a relaxed matching top and bottoms in a grey knit fabric.

“I love experimenting with fashion – it shouldn’t be taken too seriously. My style has definitely evolved, but so has everyone’s. None of us dress like we did ten years ago,” the star explained.

“I first noticed the brand when I was in [play] Speed-the-Plow in London and I was immediately captivated. It’s one of the coolest brands in the UK right now.”

Lindsay is renowned for having a massive closet and that is still the case. She’s now living in London as she wanted a break from the States and brought a huge wardrobe with her, although she insists she keeps things pristine.

“I’m a pro at applying my make-up while on the go and I have a neatly organised closet, so I’m literally in and out,” she explained.
