In this feature we look at the style of the stars over several award shows.
We love checking out the dresses (or trousers) of our favourite stars, and tonight saw the glamour ramped up as the award season really hit its stride.
Here we’ve taken some of our favourite looks from tonight’s 72nd Golden Globes Awards and then compared the outfits to the star’s previous red carpet looks from the same event.
Claire Danes
Amy Adams
Amy won the Golden Globe for best actress in a musical or comedy for Big Eyes.
She plays American painter Margaret Keane, whose unstable and deceptive husband took credit for her highly popular artwork for years before she eventually proved at a dramatic trial that she was the true artist.
The other nominees were: Emily Blunt for Into The Woods, Helen Mirren for The Hundred-Foot Journey, Julianne Moore for Maps To The Stars; and Quvenzhane Wallis for Annie.
Emma Stone
Emma has developed her own style in the last few years, she’s barely recognisable as a tanned blonde back in 2011. It’s not the first time we’ve seen women in trousers on the red carpet, but these were something else, with a huge bow and trail cascading down the back.
Reese Witherspoon
Wild actress Reese Witherspoon arriving at the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards, and below, in previous years (Lionel Hahn/ABACA USA/Empics Entertainment) (Reese is a pro at awards, but if our pictures are anything to go by, she certainly likes to mix up her colours, if not her poses.
Jennifer Aniston
Black, black, and more black. We don’t mind Jen opting for a safe colour on the red carpet, but take a look at her pics once again. There’s more than 10 years between the oldest picture and the 2015 shot. With her hair styled off her face, both then and now, she’s virtually indistinguishable from her 2003 look when she picked up a Golden Globe for her role as Rachel Green in Friends (as if you didn’t know).
