LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga had the best LEGO game launch in history.

Publisher Warner Bros. Games revealed in a press release that the game has sold through 3.2 million copies in its first two weeks and surpassed sales records worldwide.

“The game has sold through 3.2 million units globally in its first two weeks and has exceeded sales records across every platform, region, and edition,” said the publisher.

Breaking the franchise record means The Skywalker Saga’s launch outperformed other titan entertainment franchises that have also had the LEGO treatment including Marvel, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and more.

The game was first revealed at E3 2019 and experienced delay after delay before launching earlier this month on April 5.Its lengthy development period lasted five years in total but reportedly didn’t save employees at TT Games from experiencing poor working conditions. More than 30 current and former developers said in January that “soft-spoken blackmail” was used at the studio to essentially force employees into doing overtime.

The game features missions from all nine mainline Star Wars films with additional DLC packs from The Mandalorian, Rogue One, and more.
