Every year, tourists from all over the United States flock to this Smoky Mountain destination for its endless array of activities, attractions, and events. And we can see why! Home to world-famous shows and venues, top-notch shopping and dining, and some of the most incredible outdoor scenery in the country.

It’s all about the over-the-top entertainment , and you’re sure to find a show that your whole family will enjoy.

2. Relax and Unwind at a Spa

After a busy day of exploring all that the area has to offer, you’ll want to relax and unwind at one of the city’s many spas. From massages and facials to full-service salon treatments, you can treat yourself to a little R&R while on vacation. Trust us; you deserve it!

3. Indulge in some Retail Therapy

Discover a shopper’s paradise. From outlet malls to unique boutiques, there are plenty of places to find that perfect souvenir or gift. However, don’t rush your shopping spree. Take your time and enjoy browsing through all of the great stores. You never know what you might find! Apart from the many shopping opportunities, home to several flea markets and farmer’s markets where you can find locally made goods and produce. Just be sure to haggle a bit to get the best price!

4. Experience the Great Outdoors

And, of course, you can’t visit without enjoying the great outdoors. The Smoky Mountains offer some of the country’s most incredible hiking and scenic views. Besides hiking, you can also go horseback riding, fishing, biking, and much more. Or, if you’re feeling really adventurous, take a ride on the country’s largest scenic chairlift. No matter how you spend your time in the great outdoors, you’re sure to create some lasting memories.

5. Plan your visit around a festival or event

Host to many festivals and events throughout the year. There’s always something going on in the city, from car shows and concerts to food festivals and holiday celebrations. And many of these events are free to attend!

6. Slow down and enjoy the ride

Slow down and enjoy the ride. Forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and take your time exploring all the city offers. From the incredible live entertainment to the great outdoors, there’s much to see and do. So, take your time, relax, and enjoy your vacation. We promise you won’t be disappointed! 

7. Sample the local cuisine

Home to many great restaurants, so be sure to sample the local cuisine during your visit. From Southern comfort food to barbecue and steak, there’s something for everyone in the city. And don’t forget about dessert! Several incredible bakeries and ice cream shops. Trust us; you’ll want to save room for a sweet treat.

8. Take plenty of pictures

Finally, don’t forget to take plenty of pictures during your visit. From the scenic views to the fun attractions, there are plenty of photo opportunities in the city. So, be sure to snap some photos to remember your trip. In addition to taking your own pictures, purchase a few souvenir photos from some of the city’s attractions. These make great gifts for friends and family back home.
