Mark Millar, the creator and author of ‘Kick-Ass’, admits it’s still ”up in the air” as to whether a third movie will be made.
Millar – who has just completed the print version of his amateur superhero story – says there is no certainty that a third film will be made, despite its popularity among comic book fans.
He told Comic Book Resources that making the first movie was a ”no brainer”, but added that ”it cost a little less at around $24 million, made $61 million and made about $100 million again on DVD and TV rights. It was still profitable. It was by no means ‘The Lone Ranger”’.
Asked whether fans can expect a third ‘Kick-Ass’ movie, Millar said: ”I don’t know. it’s definitely up in the air, and we’ll just have to see. Matthew [Vaughn, who directed the first movie and oversaw the second] is a guy who I trust to make that decision.
”I speak to Matthew every day, and we haven’t discussed ‘Kick-Ass 3’. So who knows?”
Meanwhile, ‘Kick Ass’ actress Chloe Grace Moretz has denied she and Brooklyn Beckham are in a relationship, saying they ”just hang out with each other”.
Chloe, 17, was seen skateboarding with Brooklyn earlier this year, but she is refusing to put a label on their status.
