Ms. Marvel

On March 15, fans were finally introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first Muslim teen superhero. Kamala Khan is a 16-year-old Pakistani-American living in Jersey City, New Jersey, who harbors a deep fascination for superheroes, especially Captain Marvel. She leads an ordinary teenage existence, daydreaming about what life would be like if she had superpowers of her own — that is, until she discovers that she actually has them.

Actress Iman Vellani makes her on-screen debut as the titular character. Saagar Shaikh plays her older brother, Mohan Kupar and Zenobia Shroff her parents, Matt Lintz her best friend, and Aramis Knight, the Red Dagger. The six-episode series will stream exclusively on Disney+.

Thor: Love and Thunder

The first movie trailer released back in April gave us a sneak peek at the highly anticipated film.The fifth installment following Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Endgame appears to center around Thor’s life in retirementwhen his quest to find inner peace is interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks to kill all of the galactic gods.

Taika Waititi directs while Chris Hemsworth returns to his role as the God of Thunder. Tessa Thompson stars as Valkyrie, Natalie Portman appears as Jane Foster, also known as the newest Marvel superhero, Mighty Thor. Chris Pratt, Russell Crowe, Jaimie Alexander, Matt Damon, and Melissa McCarthy also star.

Filming wrapped back in June 2021, per Chris Hemsworth’s Instagram post. He offered up a tiny teaser in the caption: “The film is gonna be bats**t crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heart string or two. Lots of love, lots of thunder!,” he wrote.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The upcoming sequel to the 2018 movie, Black Panther. It will further explore the world created in the first film, although it will be missing one iconic character. Following the death of actor Chadwick Boseman — who starred as T’Challa, the King of Wakanda — in August 2020, director Ryan Coogler has had to reimagine the events of this second installment.

Details of the plot have been kept under wraps, and we’re still months away from the release date. But we do know that most of the ensemble cast is returning, including Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, and Winston Duke.

2023 Marvel Films

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania”

Feige announced the name of the third “Ant-Man” film 2 years ago.

Director Peyton Reed returns along with Paul Rudd as Ant-Man/Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne. Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Douglas will also reprise their roles as Hope’s parents.

Kathryn Newton will take over the role of Cassie Lang. (Emma Fuhrmann played her in “Avengers: Endgame.”) Jonathan Majors will play the film’s villain, reportedly starring as Kang the Conqueror, a character first introduced in “Loki.”

Released February 17, 2023.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Director James Gunn, who worked on the first two films in the franchise, will return to the MCU after working on Warner Bros.’ “The Suicide Squad” and anHBO Max series based on one of its characters, Peacemaker.

Gunn shared to MarkMeets.com that he’d finished the script for “Vol. 3.”

Will Poulter will play Adam Warlock in the sequel.

The Marvels

Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) will be joined by “Ms. Marvel” star Iman Vellani, who is starring in her own Disney+ series, and Teyonah Parris, who will play an adult version of Monica Rambeau.

Marvel also has four untitled movies for 2024. One of those is likely a “Fantastic Four” film.
