MOVIES RELEASED 2022
It was tough to shortlist only 10 but here are some of the most highly anticipated movies being released in theatres 2022.
Cyrano, The King’s Daughter, Marry Me, Downton Abbey: A New Era, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Top Gun: Maverick, John Wick: Chapter 4, Black Adam, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Uncharted all made our top 20.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Release Date: November 11, 2022
We may have lost Chadwick Boseman, but the Black Panther sequel will still come out in 2022 — though the part of T’Challa will not be re-cast. The plot is still under wraps, but Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett will be returning.

“It sounds kind of nuts, the process,” Cameron, 67, admits with a laugh. “I mean, if Avatar hadn’t made so much damn money, we’d never do this — because it’s kind of crazy.”
Super Mario Bros.

Chris Pratt wants to star in movies of all your childhood favorites. First it was dinosaurs.. Then it was Legos. Now, it’s your NES. He plays Mario in a new, animated Super Mario Bros. adventure, with Charlie Day as his Luigi. The cast is full of comedians: Seth Rogen is Donkey Kong, Jack Black is Bowser and and Fred Armisen is Cranky Kong, among others.
Babylon
Release Date: December 25, 2022
Damien Chazelle, director of La La Land, returns for this movie, and the two are said to share a similar milieu: Hollywood. But unlike La La Land, Babylon is a period drama, starring Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, taking place in the era when silent films gave way to sound.
Hocus Pocus 2
Release Date: October TBD, 2022
Nearly three decades since the Sanderson Sisters’ last romp, someone lights the black flame candle all over again. You don’t even have to head to theaters for this one — it’ll debut on Disney+.
The Flash
Release Date: November 4, 2022
The Justice League gets another spin-off movie, starring Ezra Miller as The Flash. In this one, he travels back in time to prevent a murder, but the time-travel has surprising ripple effects.
The Man From Toronto
Release Date: August 12, 2022
Who doesn’t love a case of mistaken identity? In this action-comedy, Kevin Hart stars as a screw-up who gets mistaken for an international assassin at an Airbnb rental.
Mission: Impossible 7
Release Date: September 30, 2022
Ethan Hunt returns for a series of ever-more-daring, stunt-filled escapes. And, if this one doesn’t get the pulse pounding, Mission: Impossible 8 is already filming.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – Part One
Release Date: October 7, 2022
Tom Holland’s Peter Parker isn’t the only Spider-Man swinging around — don’t forget about Miles Morales! He takes another spin through the multi-verse in this animated feature, which slaps an intriguing “Part One” onto the title at the end of its teaser trailer, so there’s plenty coming more after this adventure.
Minions: The Rise of Gru
Release Date: July 1, 2022
Now, Minions are everywhere, from toothbrushes to Facebook memes. But where did they get this start? This movie takes it back to the beginning, when the yellow creatures looking for a master cross paths with a wannabe supervillain.
