Adele announces comeback single Easy On Me

Adele has just confirmed her comeback single is out next week.

The wait is almost over for Adele’s new music, as the 15-time Grammy-winning singer teased her first single since 2016.

What’s that sound then online? Oh, just the noise of record label staff frantically rescheduling single releases for November

The 33-year-old has teased the opening bars of her new single Easy On Me in a video clip shared to social media.

The black and white clip (how Adele) sees the star pushing a cassette into a car radio before driving down a road with her hand out the window.

Pages are seen flying out of the window before the video cuts to a black screen, reading: ‘Easy On Me – October 15.’

Yep, that’s right – we have just 10 days until a new Adele song comes out.

We don’t know too much about it yet, except Adele’s eyeliner looks impeccable as always in the video and whether it’s happy or sad, it’s piano led so it’s bound to make us weep.

Easy On Me is Adele’s first single since 2016’s Water Under The Bridge, the fourth release from the Grammy winning album 25.

Next week’s release is the lead single for Adele’s fifth album, believed to be called 30 in keeping with her age-themed records 19, 21 and 25.

The star hadn’t confirmed that she was releasing new music, but mysterious projections of the number 30 in cities across the world had fans waiting with bated breath for an announcement.

Add in Adele changing her Instagram profile picture to a blurred teal image, and returning to Twitter following a nine-month hiatus with the tweet ‘hiya babes’, and the fandom is officially stocking up on Kleenex and ice-cream.
