Cypress Hill Set March 2022 Release For 10th Studio Album ‘Back In Black’

90’s group Cypress Hill have announced their 10th studio album.

The follow-up to 2018’s ‘Elephants On Acid’ is called ‘Back In Black’ and will arrive on March 18 via BMG. “This album is a return to our roots,” Sen Dog said. “We were proud hip hoppers back in the day and we’ve gone through it all. We’re proud to be part of the hip hop industry. Doing a straight hip-hop joint was the way to go.”

Produced by Detroit’s Black Milk, the record is previewed by a menacing, percussion-heavy collaboration with Dizzy Wright, Bye Bye. It follows the cuts Champion Sound and Open Ya Mind, released in 2021.

B-Real commented: “I think with this song, it’s a statement where – in a roundabout way – we speak to the politics of today. That we’re being lulled into this dreamworld. To try to blind us from the separation that the politicians and government create. Trying to put us to sleep and while we’re in this sleep state of unawareness they do whatever they want.”

The group will support Slipknot on the second leg of their Knotfest Roadshow Tour across North America in May and June. Tickets are on sale now.
