Florence and the machine kickstart their tour in the US next month though we caught her live recently in the UK.
2015 has been quite the year for concerts for me. (Collabro, Katherine Jenkins, The Script, Olly Murs, Blue the list go on.)
Now I have loved Florence & the Machine for years but never got the chance to see her live, until now. 17th September was the date, Nottingham’s CapitalFM arena was the place. Was she good or bad?
Pros, her voice is something you need to experience to know how good it is.
It is so powerful I was glad there was no windows nearby. She mixed up her set I actually thought Spectrum & You got the love would’ve been on the encore but nice to see I can be proven wrong. The band are brilliant & the harp was a unique & a welcome addition.
Was Florence auditioning for next years Strictly? Cause all the twirls & footwork she did shout out Strictly. She ran from the stage to the back bar on the floor. Usually I don’t mention it but she ran quicker then security could keep up lol.
She engaged the audience alot, she got them singing, all in all, it was a great night. I’d definitely see her again.
Cons, there needs to be warnings on strobe lighting used.
So it shouldn’t be Florence and the Machine, it should be Florence IS a Machine.
