Leona Lewis urges fans to get James Arthur to number one

The Bleeding Love singer took to twitter to encourage her followers to pick up Arthur’s single You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You – the first release from his forthcoming album.

“I have to say I absolutely love @JamesArthur23 voice! support this incredible talent #GetJamesArthurToNumber1 RT,” she tweeted.

Leona – who like Arthur is signed to Simon Cowell’s SyCo record label – is one of The X Factor’s most successful winners to date, having sold more than 11 million albums worldwide.

James does not seem to be getting on so well with 2010 winner Matt Cardle, however, having traded barbed comments with him on twitter since the beginning of the year.

The Impossible singer said of the feud: “I was asked, “Why do you think the male X Factor winners haven’t been successful in the past?” And I said, “Because obviously the body of work that they’ve brought out wasn’t good enough” – and that was it.”

When asked if he would like Cardle to be the support act at one of his gigs, however, James’ reply was even less diplomatic.

“I’d rather my fans were awake when I came on, that’s the only problem,” he told the station.
