One Direction sex god Liam Payne has claimed to be the “quietest” member of the hit X Factor boyband.

The 20-year-old singer has been given the nickname Daddy Directioneer in the past due to his tendency to act as a spokesperson for the band, but insisted in a recent interview that he is actually very shy and reserved.

When asked who was the quiet one in the group by TOTP Mag, Liam replied: “I’d say I was.

“Although it doesn’t look like it when there are cameras around, ’cause I will be out there a little bit.”

The Midnight Memories singer went on to add: “But when people ask for photos and stuff like that, I’m honestly not very good with it all. I haven’t got the confidence.

“And I’d never go up to anyone asking for their autograph. No way!”

The Wolverhampton-born star has not been keeping quiet on twitter recently though – having hit out at some users for calling him “fat” on the micro-blogging site.

Liam tweeted: “Lol just seen on twitter people think I’m fat? now I’ve never been called that before nice, on my way to mcdonalds then I’m off to fat camp.”
