There were many iconic musicians and bands in the 1980s, some of which are still popular today. We were listening to Billy Joel, Gloria Estefan, Lionel Richie, but here are a few examples of true legends:

Michael Jackson

Known as the “King of Pop,” Jackson was a dominant figure in the music industry throughout the 1980s. He released several successful albums, including “Thriller,” “Bad,” and “Dangerous,” and had numerous hit singles, including “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” and “Thriller.”

Madonna

Madonna was one of the most influential and successful female artists of the 1980s, with a string of hit singles and albums, including “Like a Virgin,” “True Blue,” and “Like a Prayer.” She was known for her provocative image and innovative music videos.

Prince

Prince was a multi-talented musician, singer, and songwriter who was active in the 1980s and beyond. He released several successful albums, including “Purple Rain,” “1999,” and “Sign o’ the Times,” and had numerous hit singles, including “Kiss,” “Little Red Corvette,” and “When Doves Cry.”

Duran Duran

Bruce Springsteen

Phil Collins

Queen

Queen is an English rock band that was active in the 1970s, 1980s, and beyond. The band was formed in 1970 and consisted of lead vocalist Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor, and bassist John Deacon. They released several successful albums, including “A Night at the Opera,” “A Day at the Races,” and “The Game,” and had numerous hit singles, including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You,” and “Another One Bites the Dust.” Queen was known for their elaborate and theatrical stage performances, and they became one of the most popular and influential rock bands in the world. Despite the untimely death of Freddie Mercury in 1991, Queen’s music continues to be popular and enduring today.

George Michael

George Michael was an English singer, songwriter, and record producer who was active in the 1980s and beyond. He rose to fame as part of the duo Wham!, along with Andrew Ridgeley, and had numerous hit singles with the group, including “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go,” “Careless Whisper,” and “Last Christmas.” After the breakup of Wham!, Michael continued to have success as a solo artist, releasing several successful albums, including “Faith” and “Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1,” and had numerous hit singles, including “Faith,” “Freedom! ’90,” and “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” Michael was known for his soulful voice and innovative music, and was one of the most successful and influential musicians of the 1980s and beyond.
