Niall Horan eyes up Robbie Williams for music collaboration

Niall Horan’s ‘The Show’ Debuts at No. 1 In U.K.

Niall Horan has revealed he’s down for a jam sesh with Robbie Williams – and this could basically be the boyband collab we never knew we needed.

The 29-year-old former One Direction star who has a net worth of $70 million dollars was among the artists to perform at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival on Sunday and warmed up the crowds for Blondie and headliner Robbie.

Before taking to the stage in the pouring rain, one festivalgoer mentioned to Niall that it would be great if he got in the studio with the Rock DJ singer, 49.

Responding to the remark, Niall exclaimed: ‘I’ve known Rob for years. He’s a great guy. We’d have a great session.’ Turning his attention to the star-studded line-up, he added: ‘Blondie and Robbie Williams are playing after me – I mean, it’s insane!’

Niall was over the moon to be playing at Isle Of Wight and he voiced his appreciation to his fans during his set, which saw him play Nice To Meet Ya, On A Night Like Tonight, and Story Of My Life.

‘This is one of the honours of my life getting to play this festival, thank you,’ he told the crowd. ‘It’s been a crazy week for me. I released an album last week and as I stand here right now, with your help, of course, it is the number one album in the UK this week. I couldn’t be more thankful.

‘If the queen, Blondie, wasn’t coming in after me, I’d stay here all night!’ Last month, Niall announced his first tour in five years in support of his third studio album, The Show. “It’s been far too long and I can’t wait to see your beautiful faces,’ he said upon announcing the dates.

He will kick off his set of live performances in Belfast, Northern Ireland on February 20, 2024, before making his way around Europe, Oceania, and then the United States, cconcluding his tour in Phoenix, Arizona on July 31.

The Strip That Down singer has also teased that he’s still got a few more dates to be revealed, so ‘if you don’t see a show near you listed, stay tuned’.

Niall Horan takes a bow as The Show (via Capitol) starts at No. 1 in the U.K.

The Irishman’s third studio album is his second leader, following 2020’s Heartbreak Weather, and third-successive top 3 effort, after his debut solo album release, 2017’s Flicker, peaked at No. 3.

The Show had led the midweek all-genres chart and finishes the week as the best-seller on wax.
The Show is the sixth leader by a former member of One Direction, a list that includes Zayn’s Mind of Mine (from 2016), Harry Styles’ eponymously-titled debut (2017) and Harry’s House (2022), Louis Tomlinson’s Faith in the Future (2022) and Horan’s brace.

Niall became a household name over a decade ago when he, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik formed One Direction on X Factor.

They went on to become one of the biggest acts in the world, with an army of fans who were heartbroken when they eventually split in 2015, not long after Zayn left the group.

Meanwhile, Angels singer Robbie was part of Take That (The group now consists of Gary Barlow, 52, Mark Owen, 51, and Howard Donald, 55, after original member Jason Orange, 52, left in 2014) until he quit in 1998 whilst in the middle of their Nobody Else world tour. Robbie also performed at The Isle Of Wight festival with hits and covers including Oasis ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’.
