Rebecca Black returns to the music scene with her new single ‘Saturday’, but surely it can only be worse then its predecessor ‘Friday’?
This morning the vid was at 1,998, 312 vies which isn’t mad considering she only tweeted it yesterday!
Rebecca Black emerged on the music scene in 2011 with her debut single ‘Friday’. The song was a viral sensations with receiving over millions of hit son YouTube but garnered great amounts of criticis with some music fans rendering it to be the worst song/video ever made!
So bringing out a sequel to ‘Friday’ could be considered brave or stupid.
‘Saturday’ was released, yes you guessed, on Saturday (Dec 7th) and depicts the day after a night of partying and getting ready to go for round two.
In the new hit, the now 16 year-old sings, “This Saturday, we gon’ party all night/One we will remember for the rest of our lives/This Saturday, we gon’ do it bigger than we ever have before, I don’t want this Saturday to end.”
Fellow YouTube star Dave Days, who assisted in Black covering Rihanna’s ‘Stay’ earlier this year, joins the fray as well as a Miley Cyrus impersonator, to portray the wild antics of Saturday night’s house party.
But how much partying can a 16 year-old actually do?
Rebecca seemed ecstatic about her second shot at fame as she posted on twitter, “IT IS HERE. YES. THE OFFICIAL SEQUEL TO FRIDAY. I PRESENT TO YOU, SATURDAY.”
The new music video has already racked up almost 2 million hits on YouTube.
