Steps review – sugar-coated extravaganza of bangers

A fun two-hour set of well choreographed and cheesy (In a good way) hits at the 02 showcasing the group who look to be having almost as much fun as their audience

It’s not been easy on them this past fortnight as first Faye tested postive and is now back then Lee is isolating (Lee will have to isolate for the standard ten days, according to government guidelines).

The band apologies though the remaining dates on the tour will change.

The band explained the situation in a statement that read: “We are sorry to report that in disappointing news, Lee has this morning tested positive for COVID-19 which means he is now isolating and will unfortunately be absent for the remainder of our ‘What The Future Holds’ Tour.

“We intend to carry on with the remaining three shows while the rest of us test negative. In good news, in line with government guidelines, Faye returns from her isolation today and will be performing at the O2 tonight.

“We will continue Covid testing ourselves and all our crew daily. We hope you will join us in wishing Lee a speedy recovery. With love, Claire, Faye, H and Lisa x”

Steps only have a couple of dates left on their What The Future Holds Tour, which kicked off at the beginning of this month. Earlier in the tour Strictly Come Dancing star Faye Tozer tested positive for COVID-19, forcing her to isolate for ten days. Over the weekend it was announced Lee Latchford-Evans had also tested positive.

Tonight the band will play the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff.

The quintet will then finish out their string of comeback gigs on December 1, 2021.

This final show will take place at International Centre in Bournemouth.
