The 2017 Grammys : We discuss the 5 major categories

It’s one of the biggest industry events and the nominees for the 59th Grammy Awards , With Beyonce taking the lead in the number of nominations with 9, it’s no surprise that the odds are Queen B’s favour to be the big winner of the night.

Similarly huge stars including Kanye West, Rihanna and Drake who each have 8 nods.

With a massive 84 categories in all, the Grammys are more than just a red carpet event with big name artists attending. What’s The Difference Between The Song & Record Of The Year Grammy Awards?

Song Of The Year:

Record Of The Year: “7 Years” — Lukas Graham // “Stressed Out” — Twenty One Pilots // “Hello” — Adele // “Formation” — Beyoncé // “Work” — Rihanna Featuring Drake.
Beyoncé will battle this one out with Adele for sure.

Album Of The Year: 25 — Adele // Lemonade — Beyoncé // Purpose — Justin Bieber // Views — Drake // A Sailor’s Guide To Earth — Sturgill Simpson.
There is no clear leader here however due to the success of Adele’s 25 and the love the US has for her, it could be in the bag.

Best Pop Vocal Album: 25 — Adele // Purpose — Justin Bieber // Dangerous Woman — Ariana Grande // Confident — Demi Lovato // This Is Acting — Sia.
Biebs and Adele are expected to head to head on this one.

Best New Artist: The Chainsmokers // Kelsea Ballerini // Maren Morris // Anderson .Paak // Chance The Rapper.
The Chainsmokers (American DJ duo consisting of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pal) have scored a huge hit this year but have they done enough?
