The four piece British group ‘The Vamps’ have confessed that they think it’s important for pop bands to use instruments in their music as it’s something that seems to have died out lately.
Frontman Connor Ball admitted to Idolator that bringing real instruments back into the world of pop is something they’re really excited to do:
“There aren’t many guitar bands out there in the mainstream pop world at the moment so hopefully we can kind of bring back band-y sounding music into mainstream stuff.”
Ball added: “We’re just trying to have fun and see if people like it.”
Member James McVey explained that creating their debut record, which should be released in spring, was great and they didn’t stick to one genre with the songs included on the tracklisting:
“I think we had a lot of fun making the album, we like to think that we explored different musical genres with regard to instrumentation and things like that… but yeah, hopefully people think it’s good fun because we had a lot of fun making it.”
