Metallica set to play at 2017 Grammy Awards
Metallica are set to join the best of the music world as they perform at the Grammy Awards is Los Angeles next month.
The first round of performers for the 59th Annual Grammy Awards telecast has been announced with Metallica, John Legend, Carrie Underwood and John Legend the first four artists named.
Ed Sheeran has written songs for the new James Blunt album
Suffolk bred songwriter Ed Sheeran has written material for James Blunt’s new, fifth studio album ‘The Afterlove’.
Out March 24, Blunt’s new album also sees him collaborating with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, as well as songwriters Amy Wadge, Johnny McDaid, MoZella and Stephan Moccio.
Blunt announced his new album — the follow-up to 2013’s platinum-selling ’Moon Landing’ — from the comfort of his bathtub. He posted a message to fans saying “I’ve got something huge to show you”.
U2 to reveal new songs during ‘Joshua Tree’ tour
U2 bassist Adam Clayton has revealed that the band will play new songs during their upcoming ‘Joshua Tree’ anniversary tour.
The band recently announced details of a UK and European tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of classic album ‘The Joshua Tree’ – with support from Noel Gallagher. They will also tour the 1987 album in North America during 2017.
Frank Turner to support Blink-182 on UK tour
The pop-punk band, who released their seventh studio album ‘California’ last year, are set to tour the UK in July, with Turner now announcing that he will support at all dates with his band The Sleeping Souls.
Pixies announce 2017 US tour
The band will kick off the tour in Pomona, California on April 21, going on to play 20 dates across the country including stops in Austin, Atlanta, New York, and Washington D.C. See below for a full list of dates.
The supporting acts will be Public Access TV and Cymbals Eat Guitars.
