Things You Shouldn’t Do With A Corporate Relocation

If you’re looking to make a big corporate relocation shortly, there are some things that you need to prepare for so that your employees and the business are successful during this transition. Some of the things below can cause the relocation to be delayed significantly, or cancel the relocation altogether. Keep these in mind when you start preparations and avoid them as much as possible. 

Don’t Use Your Employees To Move

While it may seem cheaper to offer overtime or time and a half to your employees to make the move, you don’t want to use them as the moving team. This brings in concerns with liability, property damage, and even resentment from them. You could have your essential workers hurt during this process, or have expensive pieces of equipment damaged during this process. 

You should always hire professionals and purchase insurance on the move in case there is damage. If something does happen to be damaged or lost during the move, you can make an insurance claim with the company and be reimbursed for the damage.
