From Dropping Out to Influencing the Houston HR World, Here’s What You Can Learn from Jeremy Jenson’s Success Story

There is equality to all humanity in how life throws challenges at anybody trying to live. One must not attempt to compete in proving their tragedy to be more tragic than others, but rather accept our diversity and support the different people, each fighting their own battle at a time. We can choose to learn from each other’s stories of overcoming hurdles and make it easier for those coming after us. Jeremy Jenson’s success story offers invaluable lessons for people who want to get the best for themselves.

Born in 984 in Alief, Texas, Jeremy had to become familiar with the realities of life early in his childhood. Despite his humble beginnings from a low-income, underprivileged community in Southwest Houston, Jeremy was destined for greatness as his potential was undeniable from a very young age. As a topper in academic classes, a star football athlete, and a go-getter, Jeremy resolved to never settle for what he had when he knew he was capable of and deserved better.

Circumstances can either break the man or make him. And Jeremy had his focus on having it made. He witnessed his parent’s separation at the age of ten. In the following years, he watched his single mother struggle to raise her two boys on limited resources as they were repeatedly on the move due to evictions. Jeremy’s remarkable emotional intelligence allowed him to take control of his life by learning from his experiences rather than being constrained by them.

Always aiming to give a hundred percent, Jeremy refused to remain in situations that kept him from realizing his potential. He never hesitated to make essential decisions that would significantly impact his life because of having the clarity necessary for making the right decisions at the right time. He knew his potential and wanted to make a life for himself out of it. So after attending three years of the University of Houston, Jeremy decided to drop out to pursue a professional career in sales.

At only 21 years of age, Jeremy was Rookie of the Year at Pizza Hut’s Central Region, becoming the youngest General Manager in the company’s history to claim the award. After a remarkable success in sales, Jeremy worked for an HR consulting firm before finally starting his first firm on Cinco De Mayo, aged only 26 years.

Today, Jeremy’s company Encore Search Partners is the largest privately held Executive Search firm in Houston, Texas. He aspires to take it to new heights rivaling the culture depicted in the TV show Suits. Jeremy intends for the brand to be synonymous with Excellence, Success, and White Glove Service. But this is just the beginning, according to Jeremy.

He intends to scale the business by opening a new unit every 18 months while managing time to pursue his creative interests as an inspirational content creator and beloved podcast host.
