These days it seems like almost every celeb is on social media…well not everyone?

If you want to know what your favorite celebrity is doing you can usually just click on their Instagram, facebook, twitter etc on social media and see pics of them, their house, dog or the star on the red carpet

But there are some rebel celebrities who don’t do social media at all. You heard right.

Let’s look at some celebrities and the reasons they give for not wanting a Twitter, Instagram or Facebook account.

25) Emma Stone

Emma Stone doesn’t like social media and has been critical of it, saying that platforms like Instagram encourage people to pretentiously cultivate a false image of their lives.

“It seems like everyone’s cultivating their lives on Instagram or on different forms of social media, and what pictures look best of their day,”

24) Daniel Radcliffe

The Harry Potter star who is also a great actor in his own right is not a fan of social media, saying that if he uses Facebook, Twitter and other platforms then his requests for privacy won’t be respected. He said that places like Twitter and Instagram also make him “uncomfortable” and even though he sometimes likes to scroll through Twitter anonymously, “I don’t know why anyone in my position would ever be on it.”

23) Eddie Murphy

Eddie Murphy — whose new movie Coming 3 America is out later next year — is an absolutely hilarious man, but he’s not a social media fan. “I don’t need to be on social media interacting with the fans, tweeting that I just ate strawberries,” Murphy said.

He made fun of those who feel the need to constantly post life updates and seek attention.

“I’m not doing none of that,”

22) Cate Blanchett

You may know Cate Blanchett from her knockout performance as Audrey Hepburn in 2004’s The Aviator or her heart-wrenching and Academy Award-winning performance in 2013’s Blue Jasmine.

But the talented actress avoids social media like the plague.

“The downside with social media is it divides people really quickly and sets up rivalry and jealousy and a sense of the life over there is better than the life over here,” Blanchett said of her views.

21) Tina Fey

Tina Fey stays off the social networks because she finds it sucks up her time that she could be using on better platforms. She previously joked that she doesn’t use Twitter and other social media because “why would I give my jokes away for free?” but has also explained that she simply doesn’t have time for the social media game.

20) Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock feels social media promotes dishonesty about ourselves.  “I will not take a selfie that I can’t erase. I don’t post or do any of that stuff,” she’s said in the past. Social media’s going to need some burn cream after that one. Sandra does not hold back, and she’s clearly done with giving social media the time of day. Hardcore!

19) Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson was the subject of a lot of paparazzi attention around the time he did the Twilight films, but now he’s older and enjoys his previously. He’s glad to be out of the spotlight and be able to live life and pursue his acting in peace.

Plus, Pattinson argues that fans wouldn’t be interested anyway.

“I’m old and boring,”

Some of his admirers may disagree.

18) Ralph Fiennes

Ralph Fiennes is a masterful actor from Schindler’s List and the English Patient to the Grand Budapest Hotel and many, many more. But he’s simply not into social media.

Fiennes believes that our attention spans and ability to express ourselves are being ruined by online interactions and he’s sick of the “world of truncated sentences, soundbites and Twitter.”

Spoken like a true gentleman.

17) Jennifer Aniston

The Friends star and popular actress finds social media both depressing and scary. She recalls feeling extremely stressed after temporarily running the Instagram for her makeup company Living Proof and finding it a less-than-enjoyable experience.

Aniston also said makes her “sad” to see young people on their phones constantly and finds social media and technology addiction to be a disturbing problem.

Clearly this woman is not only beautiful, she also has a lot of brains!

16) Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz used to be very into social media but she quit a few years ago. It just wasn’t doing it for her. Diaz said she feels like social media is a kind of “crazy-ass experiment on society.”

She doesn’t get what other people find in it and thinks it’s a risky way to seek your self-fulfillment and self-esteem.

“The way people use it to get validation from a bunch of strangers is dangerous. What’s the point?”

15) Daniel Craig

If you need more proof that social media isn’t always cool then look no further than Craig, Daniel Craig. The James Bond star finds social media frivolous and feels like it’s just a useless way to tell people things instead of actually spending time together.

Craig doesn’t use Facebook or Twitter and is tired of people posting useless life updates.

“What relevance is that to anyone? Social networking? Just call each other up and go to the pub and have a drink.”

Daniel was heavily on social media recentl;y with no time to die but not on his own socials.

14) Mila Kunis

Mila Kunis avoids social media because she finds it irrelevant and over-intrusive, saying people. “I just don’t think people need to know when I’m going to the restroom,”

She’s been on Ashton Kutcher’s social media before but when it comes to getting involved herself Kunis isn’t feeling it.

13) James Franco

James Franco was something of a social media junkie in the past but he quit cold turkey. After a few controversies arising from his tweets the star found that it was starting to affect his career and stress him out.

“Certain companies I work with contacted me about what I was saying” Franco said that it was time to get off.

I think you can get a date with a gal your own age.

Vikander did previously hop on Instagram and make an account but it started to bring her down.

After around one month she deleted the whole thing.

Vikander hasn’t gone into detail about her deletion “social media was not good for me; I personally didn’t find the joy in it.”

11) Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal, star of Nightcrawler said he doesn’t want to live in the spotlight off-screen.

That’s an eloquent way of saying he wants nothing to do with social media and he is not the only celebrity feeling that way.

11) George Clooney

The 54-year-old actor said “God forbid, you take a sleeping pill and wake up and the sentences don’t even make sense. What a horrible idea… I could easily say something stupid, and I also don’t think you need to be that available.”

He has a point. There have been cases of people who tweeted something in the evening while relaxing with a drink and were fired by the next morning. The digital public broadcaster called Twitter is most unforgiving. Clooney’s wife Amal also avoids social media.

10) Kristen Stewart

American actress and model Kristen Stewart is known for despising the public lime light. She is not on social media. In a Q & A session promoting her new film, Personal Shopper, the actress explained why she doesn’t share her personal life online.

8) Jennifer Lawrence

The Hunger Games star doesn’t have a Twitter account, nor does she have an Instagram account.

“I will never get Twitter. I’m not very good on [a] phone or technology. I cannot really keep up with emails, so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me.”

And she gives fans ample warning: “If you ever see a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that says it’s me, it most certainly is not,’ “I had that one locked and loaded. Because the internet has scorned me so much.”

7) Julia Roberts

The 47-year-old actor admitted [Social media] is kind of like cotton candy . . . It looks so appealing and you just can’t resist getting in there, and then you just end up with sticky fingers and it lasted an instant.”

That’s about it. Well said.

6) Bradley Cooper

The 46-year-old ‘A Star Is Born’ actor is one of the celebrities who don’t use social media. But Cooper has a different reason for staying away from social media: he is concerned that it will affect how his fans perceive him in movies.
