I’m A Celebrity fees. How much the 2022 stars are being paid? Plus start date, time, latest news and trial spoliers

The 22nd season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is almost upon us.

This Sunday (6th November), the first 10 celebrities will enter the jungle as they prepare to get stuck into their first challenge set by Ant and Dec.

This year’s campers, which include Charlene White, Jill Scott and Babatunde Aléshé, will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s champion Danny Miller, who was crowned as the show’s first ever King of the Castle in a season that was disrupted by some wild weather during Storm Arwen.

They’ll be joined by Matt Hancock, who has reportedly decided to participate in the ITV reality show – and suspended from the Tory party as a result.

The ITV reality show returns to the Australian jungle following two years in Wales.

I’m A Celebrity is back and will be returning Down Under after two years spent at Gwrych Castle in Wales. A new bunch of stars are jetting off to Australia to really put themselves to the test for the next few weeks on the ITV show.

I’m a Celebrity 2022 start date and time

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! 2022 returns to ITV on Sunday 6th November 2022 at 9pm.

Who are the hosts of I’m a Celebrity 2022?

Ant and Dec will once again be faces of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The Geordie duo have hosted every season of the show together bar one – with Ant having sat out the 2018 series for personal reasons, replaced on that occasion by Holly Willoughby.

Dec was reunited with his long-term presenting partner in 2019, however, and there are no signs of the partnership ending any time soon.

Who won I’m a Celebrity 2021?

The final of I’m A Celebrity 2021 was contested by Frankie Bridge, Simon Gregson and Danny Miller, after eight famous faces had been eliminated and Richard Madely exited following a brief hospital admission.

We have the lowdown on the I’m A Celebrity 2022 salaries.

How much are the I’m A Celebrity 2022 stars being paid?

Boy George

Karma Chameleon singer Boy George has reportedly been given the “highest pay cheque in the history of the show”.

The singer-songwriter has an estimated net worth of £43.8million from his long and successful career in the music industry.

A source said that his payment for the ITV series is close to £900,000.

But will Boy George live up to fans’ and show bosses’ expectations and make this an unforgettable season?

Olivia Attwood

Reality star Olivia Attwood is also making I’m A Celebrity history as the first Love Island star to feature in the show.

Having come third in the ITV2 series and gone on to do her own spin-off series, Attwood has an estimated net worth of £1.2million.

An insider said: “This is a sign that the dating favourite is now so big and produces figures with such high profiles that they can no longer be dismissed.

“Olivia is already viewed as a rising star on ITV and this is likely to serve as a launchpad for potentially fronting more mainstream shows with the broadcaster.”

Mike Tindall

Former rugby union player Mike Tindall, who is married to equestrian Zara Phillips, will be the first-ever member of the Royal Family to enter the jungle.

An exact figure hasn’t been revealed but it isn’t believed Tindall is being paid triple figures to star in the show.

He has a net worth of around £15million and while he is expected to be discreet regarding life in the royal circle, it will be fascinating to see when he does open up about his private life.

He played for Bath and Gloucester, won 75 caps for England between 2000 and 2011 and was a member of the England squad that won the 2003 World Cup.

Chris Moyles

Radio presenter Chris Moyles will also be in the 2022 cast and, much like many of his other co-stars, is predicted to cause quite a stir.

He has secured a pay-out of £250,000 from I’m A Celebrity, making him one of the highest paid this year.

As a former Radio 1 host, as well as an author and TV presenter, it is thought he has a net worth of £8million.

Only time will tell though if he is going to be able to handle life in the Outback.

Spoilers

The new series begins with five of the celebs – Chris, Olivia, Charlene, Babatúndé and Jill – who meet at a waterside villa. The other five – Boy George, Mike, Sue, Scarlette and Owen – gather at a marina.

Ant & Dec arrive at each location to inform the celebs that the public have been voting to name Jungle VIPs and who they want to see have the toughest journey into camp and face the first trial.

Who will be chosen and what does it really mean for the campmate that’s picked?

From their starting locations, the celebs are then split into three groups.

Babatúndé, Jill and Charlene travel to the iconic Focus building where they face ‘The Ledge’. The campmates must walk to the edge of the plank and once all in position, take a step forward onto the ledge so they are leaning forward and facing down the jaw-dropping 334 foot drop to the ground.

They must hold the position for a minute before letting go of the rope that supports them and plunging off the end to win a star.

Elsewhere, Olivia and Chris face the ultimate of entrances – the skydive.

Meanwhile, the rest of the campmates – Mike, Sue and Owen – face a boat trip like no other into camp as each faces a challenge to win a star.

Mike faces heading into the water inside an upturned boat, Sue heads to the ‘Bait Shack’ where she finds hell holes filled with critters, and Owen takes on a pipe blocked by bugs and grime and remove the bolts.

Here are all of the net worths of the celebrities taking part in 2022:
