Kara Tointon has finally revealed her excitement over watching Danny Dyer in EastEnders.
The actress, who previously played Dawn Swann in the BBC soap, said she would be switching on to watch the tough guy make his entrance in Albert Square on Christmas Day.
“I think Danny Dyer will be really good,” she said.
“On Christmas Day, you watch all the specials – Strictly (Come Dancing), EastEnders – and it’s always exciting to see what they have got up their sleeve for the explosive Christmas storylines.”
He will arrive in Walford with screen wife Linda (Kellie Bright) and their two children. His on-screen father Stan, played by Timothy West, will follow in January.
Kara Tointon, who won the 2010 series of Strictly Come Dancing with partner Artem Chigvintsev, is also thrilled to see what the Christmas edition of the BBC dance show will bring as she enjoys a “family Christmas” at home.
“I’m such a massive fan of Strictly and dancing in general. I love the show and watch it every year with my hot chocolate at home,” she said.
