Rings of Power Announces New Casting for Season Two

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has brought audiences together ever since it debuted so they can share in the enchantment and wonder of J.R.R. Tolkien’s glorious Middle-earth. With more than 100 million viewers worldwide, season one is currently the most popular original series on Prime Video. This genuinely global sensation attests to the unifying power of effective narrative.

We welcome these wonderful actors to our ‘fellowship’ and look forward to telling more incredible Second Age stories in season two of Lord of the rings: the ring of power. The most recently announced cast members include:


Among Oliver Alvin-television Wilson’s roles are “Guy Townsend” in “The Bay” (ITV), “Luc Martinez” in “Murder in Provence” (ITV), “Chips Benson” in “Collateral” (BBC), and “Alex” in “Lovesick” (Netflix). Oliver has appeared in The Huntsman, Wonder Woman 1984, and Harkness.


Currently, Stuart Bowman may be seen in the TV shows The Control Room, Karen Pirie, and The Pact on the BBC. His most recent theater performances include playing Macduff in Macbeth at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.


Most recently, Gavi Singh Chera appeared in the Channel 4 television shows The Undeclared War and The Lazarus Project (Sky). Other television credits include Doctors and Vera (ITV) (BBC). Gavi has performed on stage in several plays, such as The Cherry Orchard (The Yard Theatre).


William Chubb is a well-known actor whose television credits include Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell (BBC), Quiz, Pistol (Hulu), The Sandman (Netflix), Vampire Academy (Peacock), Law & Order: UK (ITV), and House of Cards (BBC). 


A well-known actor in theater, cinema, and television is Kevin Eldon. Kevin has appeared in several television shows, including Game of Thrones (HBO), Shadow and Bone (Netflix), Inside Number 9 (BBC), and Trigger Point (Peacock). He has had recurring appearances in Dad’s Army and Trigger Point.


My Lady Jane on Prime Video will soon begin production under the direction of Will Keen. He just completed The Gold (BBC1/Viacom) and the independent film Borderland, which starred Felicity Jones, Mark Strong, and him. 


Former martial arts champion Selina Lo is a British-Asian actress whose film roles include “Guan Yin” in Boss Level (Hulu) and “The Gasp” in Hellraiser (Hulu). She had a recurring role as “Xu Lian” in One Child (BBC), among other television projects.


The last time I saw Calam Lynch, he played “Theo Sharpe” in Bridgerton on Netflix. Other television appearances include “John Paul O’Reilly” in “Derry Girls” (Channel 4) and “Gordon Wilson” in “Mrs. Wilson” (BBC).

The show’s creators and executive producers, J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay, are in charge of season two. Along with co-executive producer Charlotte Brandstrom, producers Kate Hazell and Helen Shang, and co-producers Andrew Lee, Matthew Penry-Davey, and Clare Buxton, they are joined by executive producers Lindsey Weber, Callum Greene, Justin Doble, Jason Cahill, and Gennifer Hutchison. However, Season 2 of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is being shot using sites in the United Kingdom for the first time. The dates for the forthcoming episodes have not yet been made public.
