The Great British Bake Off returned to Channel 4 and despite the first episode being biscuit week and not cake week, viewers were absolutely loving all the innuendos and unfortunate mishaps the show is known for.
Also, that penis-shaped biscuit is already a classic Bake Off moment, right?
And it did really well in viewing figures for Channel 4 too with a 29% audience share, with pundits reporting that 6.1 million of you tuned in, although it was still down from the average 6.5 million viewers who tuned in to series 8 of the show last year.
After the first episode, we believe that contestant Karen Wright, aged 60, will be this series’ breakout star, thanks to her crisp munching antics and effervescent personality.
As for who we think could be the winner, our money’s currently on 26-year old Manon Lagreve, who was crowned star baker on Tuesday.
Manon also made headlines when viewers recognised her from another TV cookery competition, although producers have denied any fix allegations and say that her previous TV appearances don’t disqualify her from appearance on Bake Off.
The Great British Bake Off continues with cake week next Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4.
