The Voice UK’s Ricky Wilson is feeling a bit insecure on the show up against the other coaches Kylie Minogue, Will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones and he’s worried about trying to measure up with his acts.

Team Ricky singer Christina Marie revealed: “Kylie, Tom and Ricky turned around for me during my blind audition but I chose Ricky.

“When the audition ended he came over to me and said ‘You chose me over Kylie?’ He just couldn’t understand it.

“Then, when he came to tell us who’d we be performing with in the battle rounds, his hands were shaking like mad. He said ‘See? I’m more nervous than you are’”

Meanwhile Christina gave us a small insight into the not-so-rock-and-roll life of the of the singer.

She let slip: “Ricky and I were chatting about what we’d be doing after the show. I thought he’d say he was doing something really cool like going to a gig or private members’ club.

“But he said ‘I’m going to back to my hotel and I’m going to order to chips and watch Poirot – it’s on at 8pm.”

The Voice UK airs this Saturday and Sunday with the knockout rounds.

A soure told MarkMeets: “Kylie Minogue has hinted that she could be set to quit The Voice UK after signing up for the Australian version of the show”.

BBC bosses believe she’s a natural and are prepared to double her pay to keep her on the show.
