The 47 year-old Italian born star will perform at the Duke of York Theatre in London from 23 May 2022 – 27 August 2022, The Glass Menagerie is one of Tennessee Williams’ most celebrated plays. Directed by the award-winning Jeremy Herrin (Wolf Hall Trilogy, People Places and Things, This House), the 1944 drama draws upon elements of the American playwright’s life, featuring characters based on his dramatic mother and mentally fragile sister.

Two-time Golden Globe winner and six-time Academy Award-nominated Amy Adams, known for playing both comedic and romantic roles, received her first major movie role in Stephen Spielberg’s biopic Catch Me If You Can in 2002. Following her breakthrough, she starred in Junebug, Enchanted and The Fighter, just to name a few. Amy later went on to win two consecutive Golden Globes for Best Actress for her role as a con artist in American Hustle (2013) and painter Margaret Keane in biopic film Big Eyes (2014).

I’m grateful to the Williams’ estate who have allowed me to split the role of Tom Wingfield – and thrilled to have cast Paul Hilton to play him, and Tom Glynn-Carney to play his younger self.
