Hit West End musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is heading back on the road next autumn, with its second UK tour.
The critically acclaimed, award-winning musical starts its new tour on 7 September 2023 at the Lowry before heading to Sunderland, Nottingham, Bromley, Cardiff, Brighton, Leeds, Blackpool, Llandudno, Newcastle, Wolverhampton and Woking. More dates are going to be announced soon.
The show follows Jamie New, a 16 year old who lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in, and is terrified about the future. Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.
The show boasts an original score by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling, Dan Gillespie Sells and writer Tom MacRae (Doctor Who). Based on an idea by Jonathan Butterell, who also directs, design is by Anna Fleischle, choreography by Kate Prince, lighting design by Lucy Carter, sound design by Paul Groothuis, casting by Will Burton, Musical Supervisor Theo Jamieson and video design by Luke Halls.
