Sandra Bullock Admits She Wouldn’t Have Been Angry Had She Dated Keanu Reeves And Got Broken Up With

Speaking alongside Esquire, Sandra Bullock discussed her relationship alongside Keanu Reeves. She admitted that the two were extremely close, but never dated in the past.

Bullock would go on to discuss what a great person Keanu is, and how she wouldn’t even have been angry had they ever dated, and he decided to end things. Her reason, well, just that Keanu is a tremendous individual.

“Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated. I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him,” Bullock said.

“So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know. But we didn’t have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together. And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being. Would I have been able to say that if he had dumped me and made me angry? Probably not.”

Bullock would go on to reveal some behind the scenes details of their intimate conversations. According to Bullock, they didn’t always go as planned.

Sandra Bullock Admitted Her Intimate Conversations With Keanu Reeves Would Drive Her Crazy Given How Reserved The Actor Is

Sandra Bullock admitted that her convos with Keanu at times drove her crazy, especially given that the actor did a lot of listening. Bullock would only make things worse trying to fill out the quiet spaces in their conversations.

She revealed, “That’s what I mean that it drives you crazy,” Bullock told the magazine. “When I first met him, I would spend as much time as I could filling a silence, just to feel comfortable. And the more I jibber-jabbered on, the quieter he would get. And I thought, I don’t understand what’s happening! He’s looking at me with eyes of confusion. He’s quiet. Did I say something to offend him?”

However, it seems like Keanu was a great listener and at times would just need to process the information. Bullock revealed that a day or two later, he’d contact her and always come up with the best piece of advice for their convos.

“And then a day or two later, he would arrive with a note or a little package, saying, ‘I thought about what you said.’ And he would have his response.”

Keanu felt the same closeness to Bullock throughout their careers. However, there was a certain film he had to turn down despite Bullock’s involvement.

Keanu Reeves Wanted To Work With Sandra Bullock On Speed 2, But Script Just Wouldn’t Allow Him To Agree

is still very much open to working alongside Bullock in the future, and he admits he’d be open to Speed 3 if the script was a quality one. However, that wasn’t the cast with Speed 2. Keanu loved that Bullock was involved, but he just couldn’t get onboard with the film
“At the time I didn’t respond to the script. I really wanted to work with Sandra Bullock, I loved playing Jack Traven, and I loved Speed, but an ocean liner? I had nothing against the artists involved, but at that time I had the feeling it just wasn’t right.”
“I loved working with [director] Jan de Bont and Sandra, of course. It was just a situation in life where I got the script and I read the script and I was like, ‘Ugh.’ It was about a cruise ship and I was thinking, ‘A bus, a cruise ship… Speed, bus, but then a cruise ship is even slower than a bus and I was like, ‘I love you guys, but I just can’t do it.’ “
Keanu was completely right with his choice, despite the massive $12 million offer. The film was a dud both in reviews and at the box office. In addition, co-star Sandra Bullock called the sequel the biggest regret of her career.

Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen have been cast in Good Fortune. The pair will star in the comedy movie that is being written and directed by Aziz Ansari.

The ‘Parks and Recreation’ star will feature alongside Rogen and Reeves in the Lionsgate film that is set to begin production in Los Angeles next month.

Plot details are being kept under wraps but Ansari, Anthony Katagas and Alan Yang will produce the flick.

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group head Joe Drake said: “We have indeed found good fortune with this film. We love the script and believe strongly in Aziz as both a performer and a director.

“And when you add in Seth and Keanu – two incredible world-class talents – toplining alongside Aziz, this has the potential to be a very special film for us. We moved quickly to land this project once it was available.”

Seth stars in ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ as the voice of Donkey Kong and suggested that the gorilla could be a part of a ‘Fast and Furious’ style spin-off project.

He told MarkMeets: “There’s a lot of opportunity there. I think the family unit of the Kongs seems to be – and if the ‘Fast and Furious’ movies have taught us anything [it’s] that it’s all about family.”

Rogen explained how his approach to playing Donkey Kong ensured that he had a “good dynamic with the other characters” and could be comical in scenes.

The ‘Knocked Up’ star told Entertainment Tonight: “The voice sounds like me. I’ve done a lot of these. I don’t change my voice. I’m not one of those actors.

“For me [it was about] finding a way that the character has a good comedic dynamic with the other characters and making sure I feel like I can just be funny in the scenes. That was my approach to Donkey Kong.

“Where that landed was this idea that he just hates Mario [voiced by Chris Pratt] and that he’s really annoyed that he’s stuck with him the whole movie.”
