Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Don’t Have ‘Major Regrets’ Over Netflix Docuseries:

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have opened up about their royal experience in the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, and they are “pleased” with the outcome.

“Meghan and Harry don’t have any major regrets about doing the docuseries, and we’ll be seeing Harry elaborate about his relationship with his family in Spare,” a source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly, referring to the 38-year-old Duke of Sussex’s forthcoming memoir. “While the couple were prepared for the backlash, they’re pleased to have gotten their story out there.”

Harry and the Duchess of Sussex, 41, detailed their early courtship, 2018 royal wedding, life with their two children and the breakdown of their relationships with the royal family in Harry & Meghan, which dropped on the streaming giant earlier this month.

Mark Boardman, an entertainment experts and publicist said “This series has an even broader appeal than their recent docuseries, as the inclusion of so many more respected people and voices will not only spark debate as relationships between the couple and the monarchy hit a new low but raise more questions, which will need to be addressed.”

“We’ve never been allowed to tell our story,” the BetterUp CIO — who shares Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 18 months, with the Suits alum — quipped in the second episode. “That’s the consistency.”

Nearly one year after welcoming their son, Harry and Meghan announced in 2020 that they were stepping down from their duties as senior working royals as they relocated to California.

“I miss the weird family gatherings when we’re all sort of brought together under one roof for, you know, certain times of the year — that I miss. Being part of the institution meant that I was in the U.K. So, I miss the U.K. [and] I miss my friends,” Harry revealed during the sixth episode. “I’ve lost a few friends in this process as well. I mean, I came [to California] because I was changed. I changed to the point that I’d outgrown my environment.”

He added at the time: “Therefore, this was the most obvious place to come. You know, it’s one of the places where I think my mom, [Princess Diana], was probably gonna end up living potentially.”

As Harry and Meghan remained focused on their new lives stateside, the duke remained at odds with father King Charles III and brother Prince William, who favored the regal traditions.

“It was hard [seeing them at Prince Philip’s funeral]. Especially spending time, having chats with my brother and my father. [They] were very much focused on the same misinterpretation of the whole situation,” Harry continued in the docuseries, referring to his family reunion in April 2021. “None of us really wanted to have to talk about it at my grandfather’s funeral, but we did. … I’ve had to make peace with the fact that we’re probably never gonna get genuine accountability or a genuine apology. My wife and I, we’re moving on. We’re focused on what’s coming next.”

While neither the Prince of Wales, 40, nor the king, 74, have publicly addressed Harry and Meghan’s documentary claims, a second source told Us that its release was a “thorn in the flesh for William.”

“He’s disappointed with Harry for portraying him and the family in a cynical light,” the insider told Us earlier this month about the Duke of Cornwall. “William was hoping they could move on after the CBS interview, but Harry airing his dirty laundry has only heightened the conflict between the two brothers and resulted in them taking a step-backwards.”

Harry is further expected to discuss his royal history in his Spare memoir, which is set for a January 2023 release.

Spare takes readers immediately back to one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow — and horror,” Penguin Random House wrote in an October press release, referring to William and Harry attending their mother’s 1997 funeral. “As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.”

King Charles announces first Trooping the Colour and co firms new titles for royal family

Three months since King Charles III took over the throne — and the monarch has been busy making changes within the royal family.

The palace announced the King was giving Kate Middleton, Prince William and Queen Consort Camilla Parker-Bowles new titles while also revealing the date for his birthday celebration, known as the Trooping the Colours.

Charles’ daughter-in-law was officially named the new honorary Colonel of the Irish Guard, a title previously held by her husband.

Given Middleton’s new role, the Prince of Wales was fittingly appointed as Colonel of the Welsh Guards.

King Charles also revealed that the Queen Consort will serve as the Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, a position previously held by the disgraced Prince Andrew.

Amid the changes, the palace also announced the annual Trooping of the Colours will take place on June 17, 2023 — despite Charles’ 75th birthday actually being in.
The King seems to have taken his late mother’s lead by deciding to hold the parade months before his actual name day due to better weather.

The parade — which also celebrates the armed forces — will showcase more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians, according to Buckingham Palace.

In fact, some royals will also participate in the parade while riding horseback for thousands of people to cheer on from afar.
The big day is set to take place just six weeks after Charles’ coronation day — which could potentially be another family reunion.

He monarch plans to invite son Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, to the event despite their strained
“Harry is his son and His Majesty will always love him,” the insider said. “While things are difficult at the moment, the door will always be left ajar.”

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Shocking Revelations With The Second Part Netflix Documentary

The second half of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary dropped and immediately became the topic is all conversations.

Much juicier than the first three episodes, the last part of the documentary series sees Meghan and Harry dropping explosive bombs about their experience in the royal family. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle don’t hold back from discussing why they left their senior royal family roles and chose to grow their family in California.

Although the royal family chose to not comment on the allegations, the internet exploded with positive and negative impressions about the six-part show. The show is an especially scathing look into the tabloids’ treatment of the couple and how the palace did little to protect Prince Harry’s new wife.

So, what were the biggest revelations in this documentary from the famous couple?

8 Were King Charles And Prince William Jealous Of Meghan Markle?

It’s no secret that Prince Harry has a cold relationship with his father and older brother. Harry suggests that these senior royals felt threatened that Meghan Markle was more popular, and “doing the job better” than them. This was especially noticeable during Remembrance Day in 2018, when the former Suits actress dominated headlines.

Harry said, “The issue is, when someone who’s marrying in, who should be a supporting act, is then stealing the limelight, or is doing the job better than the person who was born to do this, that upsets people. It shifts the balance, because you’ve been lead to believe the only way that your charities can succeed, the only way that your reputation can be grown or improved, is if you’re in the front page of those papers. But the media are the ones who choose who to put on the front page.”

“When some people in the institution around the family started to see that a new couple could destabilize the power dynamics, whether actively talked about or not, the aim was to put them in a box or make them irrelevant,” James Holt, their former spokesperson, says in the doc. Many have seen the parallel to Prince Charles’ jealousy of Princess Diana during their royal tours.

7 Prince Harry Blames Press For Meghan Markle’s Miscarriage

Megan Markle wrote in November 2020 when “the first morning that we woke up in our new home is when I miscarried.” The documentary does not shy away from depicting the abuse the British tabloids Meghan faced, including The Mail on Sunday publishing a redacted personal letter from her father.

Harry believes the stress and sleepless nights of her lawsuit with the tabloid is what led to the loss of their second child.

“I believe my wife suffered a miscarriage because of what the Mail did.” Harry very clearly states, “I watched the whole thing. Now do we absolutely know that the miscarriage was caused by that? Of course, we don’t. But bearing in mind the stress that caused the lack of sleep, and the timing of the pregnancy happening [how many] weeks in she was, I can say from what I saw that miscarriage was created by what they were trying to do to her.”

6 Does Prince William Plant Stories About Harry And Meghan To The Press?

Prince Harry is upfront if not dignified about the wedge between him and his older brother, William. The Duke of Sussex reveals that he believes Prince William’s communications office leaked or traded stories about him and Meghan Markle to the media, even though they “promised” never to do that to each other. This is apparently quite commonplace in the royal family.

“William and I both saw what happened in our dad’s office, and we made an agreement that we would never let that happen to our office,” Harry elaborates.

Harry suggests that the main headlines criticizing Meghan came from William’s staff trading stories with the press. “I would far rather get destroyed in the press than play along with this game or this business of trading,” he says. “And to see my brother’s office copy the very same thing that we promised the two of us would never ever do, that was heartbreaking.” The pair note how Kate would be praised for doing something that Meghan would be criticized for, often within the same week in the same tabloid.

5 Who Is Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Daughter’s Godfather?

One of the biggest revelations is that Tyler Perry is godfather to a princess!

Actor/director/producer Perry reveals that he let Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stay in his Beverly Hill home when they first moved to the US, offering them a safe location to live after their Vancouver Island home was compromised.

He initially reached out to the couple when her letter to her father was leaked to the press. “You know I’m not a royal watcher. I don’t really pay attention to a lot of stuff, but I saw something about her father,” he explains. “I found it to be hurtful if he were my father. And I couldn’t even imagine this woman finding the man that she loved, the man of her dreams and him being a prince, and then to walk into all of that madness and need the security of family and then have, you know, your father do some horrible things.”

“We’ll call and we’ll chat and we’ll talk about silly things,” Perry says of their relationship before adding. He admits he would only become godfather is the role did not involve going to a church ceremony with the other royal family members.

4 Meghan Markle Was Suicidal

Although Meghan Markle has previously spoken about her mental health struggles, the documentary goes into more detail.

Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, recounted how her daughter had felt suicidal. “Well, I knew it was bad. But to just constantly be picked at by these vultures, just picking away at her spirit,” Ragland said in regard to the media attention. “That she would actually think of not wanting to be here. That’s not an easy one for a mom to hear.”

Prince Harry has described that period of their lives as making him feel “angry and ashamed.

“I didn’t deal with it particularly well. I dealt with it as institutional Harry, as opposed to husband Harry,” the 38-year-old said. “And what took over my feelings was my royal role. I had been trained to worry more about, ‘What are people gonna think if we don’t go to this event? We’re gonna be late.’

“And looking back on it now, I hate myself for it,” he says, in regard to his behavior during this period. Meghan also reveals that she was banned from seeking help as many felt it may tarnish the royal family’s reputation.

3 Meghan Markle’s Half-Sister Was Part Of A Hate Group

Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha, was part of a vicious hate group that was spreading disinformation about Meghan and sending her death threats. Samantha’s Twitter account was suspended, but it was later revealed she had 11 additional accounts that were sharing hateful messages about her royal family member.

Samantha’s attorney has clarified that Samantha’s Twitter account was never “suspended” but rather, it was “hacked, resulting in “imposter accounts” made by third parties to defame Samantha. She wasn’t the only account spreading malicious messages, with many using racist and sexist language to describe the duchess.

“The seriousness of what has happened to her and what… happened to us, and what continues to happen to her, that needs to be acknowledged,” Harry said about the messages his wife was receiving.

She recalls seeing messages like “Meghan just needs to die. Someone needs to kill her. Maybe it should be me,” when looking through security documentation.

“That’s my real life. And that’s the piece when you see it you go, ‘You are making people want to kill me,’” Meghan said tearfully. “It’s not just a tabloid. It’s not just some story. You are making me scared.”

2 Why Did Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Leave The Royal Family?

Prince Harry wanted to take on a part-time role within the royal family. He describes it as a “half in, half out” option, in which he and his wife would have their own jobs but also work in support of the queen.

“It became very clear very quickly, that goal was not up for discussion or debate,” Harry explains. “It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that simply weren’t true, and my grandmother quietly sits there and sort of take it all in.”

He added, “The saddest part of it was this wedge created between myself and my brother, so that he’s now on the institution’s side.” That same day, a news story also claimed that a part of the reason why Harry and Meghan were leaving the family was because William “had bullied them out.”

A joint statement was then released in January 2020, in which the brothers denied the story and called it “false,” “offensive” and “potentially harmful.” The statement was written without Harry’s permission or even knowledge.

“No one had asked me permission to put my name to a statement like that,” he said. “And I rang [Meghan] and I told her, and she burst into floods of tears, because within four hours, they [the institution] were happy to lie to protect my brother, and yet for three years, they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.”

Harry added, “So there was no other option at this point. I said, ‘We need to get out of here.’” The couple officially stepped back from their royal duties.

1 Photos Of Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Wedding And Children Are In The Netflix Documentary

The pair invite us into their lives, showing exclusive wedding photos, footage of their children, and we even hear Archie’s American accent.

“Part of what’s beautiful here is the freedom to have family moments out in the world,” Meghan said about their new life in California. “And I want our kids to be able to do that and to be able to travel. And to fall in love, you know. I just want them to be happy.”

Although Harry is sad his children won’t grow up around his family, it is clear he is happy in his new home with his young family. “Just seeing Archie running across the lawn with this big smile, this is the world that he knows. He spent his first five months in Windsor. That was it. This is home to him. This is home to Lili. And this is our home. I get to do things with our kids I never would be able to do in the UK.”
