The first trailer lands for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows…

The sizeable success of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot has led to Paramount swiftly pressing ahead with a sequel, And thus earmarked for release in June 2016 is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows.

The sequel is expected to be a hit with families, given that the first film earned $493.3 million on a reported $125 million budget. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The film stars Megan Fox, Will Arnett, William Fichtner, Tyler Perry and Stephen Amell amongst its cast. This time, though, the movie is being directed by Earth To Echo’s David Green, who takes over from Jonathan Liebesman.

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies released the first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows late Wednesday night, not long after actor Stephen Amell teased 14 seconds of footage via his own Facebook page. Megan Fox, Will Arnett and William Fichtner reprise their roles as April O’Neill, Vern Fenwick and Eric Sacks, respectively, from the 2014 movie. Returning voice actors include Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Johnny Knoxville as Leonardo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello and Tony Shalhoub as Splinter.

The action-packed trailer, set to a remix of Run DMC’s “It’s Tricky,” shows the four brothers back in action after saving New York City residents from a deadly virus in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Shredder (Brian Tee) is on another tear, and this time, he has two henchmen, Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly), to do his evil bidding.
