10 Definitive Best Gambling Films of All Time

There are many classic movies across all genres that features the fun and suspense of gambling: infact there are too many to list but we have shortlisted our favourites.

Having trawled through the film archives and picked out what we think are the Best Films of All Time.” we wanted to share these with you all.

There were many that sadly did not feature inside the top 10 including The Hangover movie series and, of course, as you will either agree and disagree with a number of our choices as a matter of preference.

However, the following films cover a pretty broad range of ‘gambling-related topics’– everything from casino gambling to online gambling to hustling and get betting bonuses at 20Bet.

Most important of all is that they are simply, good movies.

10. Oceans Eleven
Danny Ocean and his ten accomplices plan to rob three Las Vegas casinos simultaneously. Stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon and a host of other stars.

An aspiring writer is hired as a croupier at a casino, where he realizes that his life as a croupier would make a great novel.

7. Seabiscuit
A fantasic cast of Tobey Maguire, Jeff Bridges, Elizabeth Banks based on a true story of the undersized Depression-era racehorse whose victories lifted not only the spirits of the team behind it but also those of their nation.

6. Rounders
A young, reformed gambler must return to playing big stakes poker to help a friend pay off loan sharks, while balancing his relationship with his girlfriend and his commitments to law school. Starring Matt Damon.

5. The Gambler
Axel Freed is a literature professor. He has the gambling vice. When he has lost all of his wealth he then borrows from his girlfriend, then his mother, and then finally from some bad guys that end up chase him. Despite all of this, he cannot stop gambling.

4. The Cincinnati Kid
Released in 1965, The film tells the story of an up-and-coming poker player tries to prove himself in a high-stakes match against a long-time master of the game.

3. The Hustler
An up-and-coming pool player plays a long-time champion in a single high-stakes match. Won 2 Oscars. Another 11 wins & 20 nominations.

2. Casino Royale
After earning his 007 status with a licence to kill, Special Secret Agent James Bond actor Daniel Craig sets out on his first mission as 007. Bond must defeat a private banker funding terrorists in a high-stakes game of poker at Casino Royale, Montenegro.

This movie has it all and tells the tale of greed, deception, money, power, and murder occur between two best friends: a mafia enforcer and a casino executive, compete against each other over a gambling empire, and over a fast living and fast loving socialite.
