The Great Outdoors’ actor Dan Aykroyd is planning a sequel to the 1998 comedy with director Howard Deutch.
The 69-year-old star is intending to rejoin with the 1988 parody’s unique chief Howard Deutch, and he is attempting to track down the right entertainer to supplant his late co-star John Candy after his passing in 1994.

“Howie Deutch was a truly fun chief on the image. He cherished handling Candy and me.
“Howie and I are dealing with the continuation, called ‘The Great Outlaws’. I’m searching for the Candy figure. There are some truly intriguing names, however I can’t say who.
“Howie and I are tickled to bring back Roman as a Ponzi conspire fellow who exploits a government specialist. Who can say for sure? If I track down the right accomplice… “
The first film featured Candy and Aykroyd as parents in law Chet Ripley and Roman Craig on a family setting up camp outing with their separate spouses Connie (Stephanie Faracy) and Katie (Annette Bening).

The late ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’ entertainer would have turned 71 on October 30, and his companion reviewed one of his beloved recollections of them cooperating
He added: “I recollect this one night in Second City Toronto, we were doing this sketch where Dave [Thomas] and I were these two cops, and we were attempting to capture Candy, who was as a rule untidy.
“And he scooped me up and put me on one shoulder and whipped around and put Dave on the other shoulder and he spun us around the room. [laughs] He was exceptionally solid.”
In the interim, Aykroyd is repeating his job as Dr. Raymond Stantz in ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ and he has stacked applause on chief Jason Reitman, whose father Ivan was in charge of the first 1984 film.
He recently said: “Jason is the ideal inheritor of the heritage as an essayist, narrator, and chief.
“His vision determines consistently, consciously and trustworthiness from the first movies. Can hardly wait to see the lines around the multiplex.”
