Now Batman has always stood out as one of the major characters of the 20th century and Robert Pattinson was announced to lead The Batman cast back in 2019, with Dano, Serkis, Farrell and Kravitz joining shortly afterwards.

There is nothing more frustrating than to see a star play a character just the once, unless they are useless though Robert Pattinson has a great track record and won the role of Batman over stars including Joshua Jackson, Eion Bailey, Hugh Dancy, Billy Crudup, Cillian Murphy, Henry Cavill, and Jake Gyllenhaal.

“I’ve made a kind of map for where Bruce’s psychology would grow.”said Pattinson adding “psychology would grow over two movies.” admitting he would love the chance to take on the role again so build stories upon.

Twilight star Pattinson is taking over as Batman from Christian Bale – who completed his trilogy with 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises. The new forthcoming action-packed new trailer for Robert Pattinson’s debut as Batman shows him teaming up with Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman.

Andy Serkis also appears in the teaser as Alfred, Bruce Wayne’s butler, while Batman’s foe this time is the Riddler – played by Paul Dano.

The Batman tells the story of a young Caped Crusader in his second year as he uncovers corruption linked to his own family and takes on the Riddler’s evil schemes.

The Batman: Directed by Matt Reeves. With Robert Pattinson, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, Zoë Kravitz see’s Batman In his second year of fighting crime, Batman uncovers corruption in Gotham City that connects to his own family while facing a serial killer known as the Riddler.

With a call star cast and a budget of $100m the trailer and set-photos look epic.

Twilight star Pattinson, 35, is the latest star to play Batman on the big screen.

Can Robert Pattinson’s The Batman defeat Tom Holland’s super-cool new Spider-Man? Box office wise it’a a tough ask though the distributor will need to deliver a fully refreshed ‘dark knight’ film feel if it is to challenge the rejuvenated wallcrawler.

Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy secured cult status and so we hope for some shocking Bat-twists.
