Eminem and Rihanna have released a teaser clip for the video to their Number One single, ‘The Monster’.
The new video teaser for Eminem’s latest singer ‘Monster’ featuring Rihanna has arrived at MarkMeets.
Although it’s only 57-second long, the teaser snippet shows Eminem in an armchair in a consultation suite complete with a heartrate monitor and swinging pendulum whilst Rihanna saunters and turns on the TV. She then sits down opposite him whilst the screen fills up with old violent images of Eminem popping pills and hanging out with his daughter, Haillie Scott, when she was younger.
The song features on Eminem’s most recent album, ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’, and topped the Official UK Singles Chart last month. In the clip we see Rihanna seemingly taking on the role of a psychiatrist, showing Eminem footage from his past, whilst the words ‘Violence’, ‘Family’ and ‘Addiction’ flash up on the screen.
Rihanna lays on the black eyeliner and a purple lips as she studies Eminem making notes whilst she does.
At the end of the snippet, we are transported to another scene where two armed soldiers point their guns into a semi-covered cage that’s holding something monstrous. The video trailer feels more like a trailer for a film about impending doom than a pop video.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Eminem’s childhood home was demolished after being deemed unsafe following a fire. The home, which features on the cover of ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’, as well as its 2000 prequel, was owned by the Detroit rapper’s mother between 1989 and 2003. On November 7 the property caught fire and was demolished on November 20 after officials at Michigan Land Bank, who own the property and land it sat on deemed the building “structurally unsafe”.
“The condition of the property post-fire presents a safety hazard that the Land Bank is responsible for removing,” Michigan Land Bank director Kim Homan said in a statement, via local news source MLive. “The goal is to demolish and clean up the site, so neighborhood safety and order can be restored.”
‘Monster’ is out now.
