One Direction reveal new album update telling fans: ‘We’re working really hard’

The ‘Best Song Ever’ superstars One Direction are currently working on what will be their first studio album without member Zayn Malik and they’ve given their fans an update on what’s going on with the project.

Niall Horan posted that studio progress is coming along really well: “Great few days in the studio this week! Having a really good time writing, playing guitar parts! Exciting times.”

Heartthrob Louis Tomlinson also checked in and explained that songwriting is going well so far and they’re putting their all into the process: “Another day of writing today, really working hard on this next album. Hope you lot love it!!”

Liam Payne, meanwhile, recently told the press that their new material will have a different sound: “The songs have been coming out a bit more chilled. We want this to be quite a long-lasting album that you can listen to anytime, like Ed [Sheeran]’s album. The new album is a bit Oasis-y.”
