This evening will see each coach begin the process of cutting their teams of twelve own to six with a series of musical duels.

But the return of the steal twist mean that the loser of the battle may get a second chance with rival coaches getting the opportunity to pinch them for their own team.

However with only one steal, the coaches confess they won’t be making any rushed decisions.

“I’m conscious not to fill up that one precious spot too soon,” Kylie Minogue says at the top of the show.

Sir Tom Jones continues: “You go for the steal but then you think should I wait? I want that one steal to be the right choice.”

Ricky Wilson meanwhile reveals that he already knows exactly which acts he’s hoping to get the chance to steal.

He tells cameras: “I’ve got a few people in mind and I’ve drawn circles around them on the chart in my dressing room”

And Will.i.am, being Will.i.am, adds: “I’ve go to get my binoculars and telescope to see into the future on who I want to bring into the future.”

The Voice 2014 airs tonight at 7PM on BBC One.
