ITV 1’s hit TV show is coming back later this year and Open auditions for The X Factor UK begin next month, it’s been confirmed.
Expect cities including Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff and London to be included as part of the process!
So far producers have confirmed that Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell will be back on the panel this year with auditions continuing last year’s double try-out format.
Hopefuls start with a performance in front of the judges in a closed room before those that get three or more yeses progress to the arena try outs.
Speaking of her return this week: Cheryl Cole: “I’m very happy and excited to be returning to The X Factor. I’m inspired and ready to find new talent and potential pop stars. It’s going to be a fun series.”
Simon Cowell, who confirmed his return to the UK show last month, added: “I am so happy that Cheryl has agreed to join The X Factor again. The last time we worked together in the UK was incredible and produced some really successful artists. Obviously the plan is to do the same again… so it’s back to work!”
The X Factor judges won’t be at the open auditions with instead budding singers performing for producers as the begin their journey on the show.
Any budding singing sensations can apply via itv.com/xfactor to be in with a chance of being crowned this year’s winner and securing a life changing record deal.
Open auditions will take place from April with the judges’ audition tour following later in summer.
