‘This Morning’ TV presenter Holly Willoughby says she feels “incredibly passionate about women’s issues” and as a result she feels a responsibility and “a need within her” to get involved in activism.
Holly admitted campaigning for women’s issues is something she will look into as part of her “next phase in life”.
During a promotional event for her new book, ‘Reflections: Life Lessons On Finding Beauty Inside and Out’, Christine Lampard, 42, asked the 40-year-old star if she would want to be the face of a movement, and Holly said: “I think I would like to, there is no doubt about it that this is an area of my life I would like to explore more.
“I feel incredibly passionate about women’s issues and I feel I have a responsibility and a need within me to move it forward a bit myself. It would be wrong not to.
“I surround myself with women and we are the lucky ones.
“There are women who don’t have the opportunities I have, who don’t have the resources I have and this is particularly an area I want to explore.
“I think that is where I am going to, that is my next phase in life. That is my passion and life can only be about passion now.”
Holly Willoughby attended The Pride Of Britain Awards with her beautiful mum Linda last Saturday and fans said of a number of similarities with her daughter and has been described as a ‘miracle’ MarkMeets can reveal.
Recently, Holly – who has co-hosted the ITV daytime talk show alongside Phillip Schofield, 59, since 2009 – reflected on the gratitude she felt about ageing.
She said: “We’re heading towards that kind of menopausal time, skin is changing, hair is changing, body’s changing. Having had a baby, the shape of your body completely changes.
“It’s really important to, rather than look down and go, ‘Oh, my God, look at everything that’s changing, I’m getting older, I’m getting more wrinkles, my t*** are around my knees’, you’ve sort of got to look up.”
